Get a “Ride for the Holidays" with AC Transit on the Free Holiday Bus

This holiday season, get into the spirit with AC Transit on our free holiday bus! Immerse yourself in holiday magic on the bus covered with cozy winter images this December 1 to 31, with our specially wrapped Holiday Bus offering free rides on different local lines throughout the East Bay. 

The tradition of a free-ride Holiday bus began in 1963—just three years after AC Transit began service. This year’s bus features icons and images familiar with winter holidays. We hope hopping on this bus reminds you of cozy holiday memories.  

As an added thank you for your continued ridership and support, we’ve created some festive Holiday Bus gifts! While you’re on the Holiday Bus, grab a mini paper bus (while supplies last!). We’ve also created some festive ornaments and gift tags, available throughout our fleet or at the Customer Service Center in Oakland. 

We’re looking forward to more rides in 2025 and many journeys together on the roads of the East Bay with you.
